At Brooks, our standard printing style is called Premium. In technical terms, we print plastisol inks. But, you do have the option of choosing from any of the following printing styles and techniques. Some restrictions apply. Chat with us online to find out more, or send us an email.
Our take on the traditional plastisol print style. Soft, quality prints that feel more like water based printing. Within our premium style, we’re able to achieve many different results such as vintage, distressed, athletic, or light, soft prints.
4 Color Process
This is most often for full color images or photographs. We print using the traditional 4 colors, much like your ink jet printer at home. Cyan, yellow, magenta, and black. This type of printing requires a white or very light colored garment.
Knowns as Simulated Process, this is for full color images or photographs that go beyond the typical 4 color process. This process can sometimes be done on darker shirts. Usually this is more like artwork than photographs.
Our last print style is called Heat Transfer. This process is most popular on athletic jerseys for names and numbers. It involves using very thin, soft vinyl that has an adhesive backing and has been cut into a design such as letters, numbers, or even artwork. Once cut, the vinyl is placed on a shirt and pressed with intense pressure and heat on a Heat Press machine. This causes the adhesive backing to activate and adhere to the garment. This process is a great option for smaller quantity orders that may not reach the minimum order quantity for screen printing.
No matter which of these print options you choose, we’ll make sure the end result is a quality garment printed with care and precision. Be sure to check out or Print Do’s and Don’ts for more print recommendations.
